Joined Tamesis in September 2003 and sings alto.

I haven’t been in Tamesis since the very beginning, but I was in the audience for the first concert in October 2003 and joined soon after, so like to think that I am an honorary founder-member! I started singing in choirs when I was in junior school and continued throughout my secondary education. My music teacher was a chorister at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle so our choir was lucky to have some amazing singing experiences when they needed some female voices! Whilst at college in London, I sang with the London Choral Society, who appeared regularly with the Philharmonia under Sir Simon Rattle. After a few years in the choral desert (mainly due to having children), I joined Reading Festival Chorus and spent 10 years with them before joining Tamesis. Although we take our music seriously, Tamesis is more than just a choir – we play hard too with lots of opportunities for socialising! These are exciting times for us, with two CDs under our belt and a growing reputation in Berkshire and beyond.
