"Christmas" raises more than £2,000 for Sue Ryder (10th April 2015)

We're delighted to announce that strong sales of our latest CD, "Christmas", have generated a very substantial sum to support the wonderful work of Sue Ryder Care. On Wednesday 8th April, choir director Louise Rapple Moore visited Nettlebed Hospice and presented a cheque for £2,100 to Moira Logie of Sue Ryder.

Tamesis Orchestra makes its debut! (22nd March 2015)

Last Friday, as an alternative to our usual end-of-term meal, 18 members of Tamesis got together to try something new. Rather than singing, we picked up our instruments, many of them rather neglected since our teens, and formed an orchestra. Featuring a six-piece string section, five woodwind players, four brass and three percussionists, the Tamesis Orchestra merrily played its way through half a dozen popular classics and film tunes, including The Dambusters, Pirates of the Caribbean and the Austin Powers theme. The LSO can probably rest easy, but we had a ball! Next stop, the Albert Hall....

Exciting news! Our brand new CD, "Christmas" has gone on sale. Initial channels are the Tamesis website, our concerts and iTunes. From the middle of November, we'll also be selling the CD through at least 16 Sue Ryder shops, in Reading and the Thames Valley. If you happen to be near a Sue Ryder shop, do pop in and buy one!
